Design for machine stator of technology demonstrator

To apply the setup and processes developed to demonstrate technology at TRL4. The topic manager will refine the stator design to accommodate the windings prosed and the successful applicant will program and tune the setup to suit.
Task 1 – Design winding for high power density
During this task the developed test setup and the processes identified in the previous WPs will be used to demonstrate technology at TRL4. The identified design and manufacturing guidelines will be adopted for the development of preformed coils optimized for:
- enhanced slot fill factor
- improved thermal conductivity
- reduced AC losses at high-frequency operations
- shorter end windings
The topic manager will refine the stator design in order to accommodate the winding proposed.
Task 2 – Tuning of the test set-up
Coppering will be in charge of all the activities for programming and tuning the test setup to realise the winding to be accommodated in the stator proposed by the TM.
