Objectives
To Design and develop tooling for accurate coil insertion, twisting and finishing towards achieving high fill factors without insulation damage.
Description
Task 1 – Design and develop tooling for accurate coil insertion
This task includes all the activities to design and develop tooling for accurate coil insertion, twisting and finishing of the windings. Coppering is in charge of this task. All the component for components to develop tooling for the coil insertion, twisting and finishing will be procured. At first single components constituting the setup will be built and test individually.
Task 2 – Winding Insulation test
UniMore is in charge of the test campaign to assess possible insulation damaging in the winding due to the procedures of coil insertion, twisting and finishing. Laboratory equipment will be employed, such as surge generator with integrated PD detection system.
